Embrace Your Vulnerability
No doubt we all love stories. And I believe you're already using stories with your audience, and that's awesome!

I remember when I started to learn story telling...I watched so many YouTube videos. Some of it were captivating, some of it were just bad.

I didn't know what was the difference. Until one of my presentations, someone wrote in the evaluation form and she says: "Nice presentation, it will be better if you don't talk so much about your achievement".

All of a sudden, everything just clicks!

I went back in the evening and re-look at all my speech preparation. And I found the missing ingredient...!!!!!

Once i put in this missing ingredients, all my evaluations shot up and people are enquiring more about my products and services.

Want to know what's the missing ingredient? Is it ok I share with you this invaluable thing I learnt? Ok, here it is.....
It's being vulnerable. Because vulnerabilities are authentic and it builds rapport. More often than not, trainers and coaches put themselves high up and being perfect, and it actually repels people.

When I started to share my vulnerabilities and weaknesses, my audience resonates with me more and I can see from their eyes and their attention, they're immediately drawn into my story. I even teach this to my students now.

I developed the Expert Presentation Formula, which you received awhile back. The very first thing i teach my students at the start of a presentation is to share their lowest point (relevant to the presentation topic).

For e.g. when i teach about presentation skills, I talk about how I failed in my first corporate training for a Fortune 100 client. Worst feedback I ever gotten.

When I deliver a business speech, I talk about how the 2014 global oil crisis nearly crashed my business.

Try this...embrace vulnerabilities in your message. I know it'll be uneasy at first...but I promise you this is the secret I found in the success of many presenters around the world, and it'll work like a charm for you. - All Rights Reserved @ 2017 - 2020
